さて、古のエデュテイメントソフトを動かす仮想マシン環境も整ったので、Multimedia Strauss の探索を再開しましょうか・・・
Windows3.1（英語版）用のソフトですが、日本語版のWindows98SEでも問題なく動きます。ちなみに、動作環境は・・・

ソフトウェアは、Microsoft Virtual PC 2007 + Windows98 Second Edition + MagicISO Virtual CD/DVD-ROM

これは、マルチセッションのCD-ROM（プログラム＋CD-DA)も一つのイメージファイルに出来て、しかもそのイメージファイルを仮想ドライブとして利用できる優れものです。こういうエデュテイメントソフトはCD-ROMの動作音が結構気になるのですが、イメージファイルにしてしまうことでそれも解消できます。

今回は"Poket Audio Guide"を見てみましょう。Multimedia Strauss では R.Strauss の有名な交響詩を3曲取り上げています。

Don Juan「ドン＝ファン」
Death and Transfiguration 「死と浄化」（「死と変容」が一般的ですが・・・）
Till Eurenspiegel「ティル＝オイレンシュピーゲルの愉快な悪戯」

とりあえず、曲の全体構成を確認しながら曲を一通り聴きとおすのに良いかと。
